Bio

Music has always been a huge part of Jessica's life. She began singing as a child in church and school programs, making her solo debut during the Spring Play at Scandia Elementary where she sang the Oscar Meyer Weiner Song for an audience of over 200 people. In junior high and high school she really discovered her love for the stage, participating in various musical theater productions such as Annie, Godspell, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Grease. She also participated in school choir as well as drum line and jazz band.

Jessica began singing funk music in 2005 with Needs No Chill. It was a new experience for her, performing with a band and singing funk music. Over the next year, she began honing her skills and learning about what it takes to front a band. In 2006 she co-founded 8 Switch Assembly, now called 8 Switch and has been singing along side her future brother-in-law, Jesse Larson, ever since.

When she is not on stage you can usually find Jessica hamming it up with Youth Frontiers, in front of 200 students, during day-long retreats which strive to teach them the importance of treating each other with respect. You can also find her co-directing YPA, a Forest Lake community based youth performing arts organization. Through these two organizations, Jessica is able to combine her passion for music and performance with her commitment to young people and their
development.
