8 Switch is comprised of some of the cities hottest young players combining talent and creativity with an unmatched love for performing to create a truly unique show.

The individual members have been active in the music scene by playing, recording, or sharing the stage with such artists as Heatbox, Root City Band, Corey Stevens, Dr. Mambo’s Combo, J.B. and the Routine, Jelly Bean Johnson, Willie Walker, Billy “Big Daddy” Cade, members of the Steve Miller Band, the Funk Brothers and many others from the Twin Cities and around the nation. 

Whether you like classics from Stevie Wonder, Wilson Picket, and B.B. King; hits from Prince, Alicia Keys, and Amy Winehouse; or fresh and funky original material, 8 Switch will leave you wanting more.   However, you’ll be hearing many of the classics like you’ve never heard them before.  8 Switch uses innovative arrangements to create a unique and fresh take on classic songs, without loosing site of the past.  The live shows seem to gain momentum as the band flexes their improvisational muscles and gives the audience a memorable and exciting experience that can only be described as an 8 Switch party.  Adding to the party is 8 Switch's original music which keeps audiences coming back for more of that 8 Switch sound.

All the members contribute to the song writting and arranging process, and the members' varied musical backgrounds and experiences help make 8 Switch's repertoire eclectic and fresh.
